Meat Manager

Job Description

As a Meat Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our meat department. You'll be responsible for maintaining product quality, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for meat and a strong background in meat cutting, preparation and sales. Responsibilities:



Team Leadership:

Supervise and train meat staff, ensuring efficient workflow, proper training, and adherence to company policies.

Team Management:

Schedule shifts, hire staff and train new staff.

Food Preparation:

Prepare and package top quality products such as steaks, roasts, chicken, pork, beef & turkey, and value-added products patties, kabobs, cordons and more.

Food Safety and Sanitation:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, proper food handling, and sanitation practices.

Quality Control:

Monitor product freshness, presentation, proper rotation and overall quality.

Inventory:

Manage inventory levels of food and non-food items such as packing and cleaning supplies. Manage product storage, order supplies, and maintain optimal stock levels for meat items. Ensure accurate pricing and labeling of products.

Customer Service:

Interact with customers, address inquiries, provide excellent customer service.

Financial Management:

Track sales, analyze performance, and contribute to budget planning.

Qualifications:



Experience:

Minimum of 2 years in meat department management or a related meat cutting role

Meat Knowledge:

Passion for meat and strong knowledge of meat cuts

Leadership:

Outstanding leadership and customer service skills

Skills:

Excellent communication skills, experience with ordering, ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage time efficiently and adapt to changing priorities

Attention to Detail:

Keen eye for quality and presentation

Financials:

Experience with scheduling, budgets and margins

Availability:

Full-time position. Available days, weekends, evenings, weekends. Flexible Schedule.
