Southern Plains Co-op is hiring a Meat Manager for our Carlyle Food Store in Estevan, Saskatchewan.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will lead the Meat Department in a thriving store! As Meat Manager, you will oversee the Meat Operations and you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue, ensuring the growth and profitability of the meat operation by implementing strategies and marketing programs, and providing leadership for the Meat Team.

  • Financial Management: Administer and achieve budgeted goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management: Create exceptional Co-op experiences by engaging and interacting with member-owners and customers. Build and maintain relationships with internal & external customers and team members.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership to the team, including the recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training, and development of team members.
  • Brand and Merchandising: Promote and ensure adherence to brand and merchandising standards, marketing efforts, image standards,
  • Business Growth: Drive business growth and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Safety and Compliance: Responsible for coordination and oversight of all safety, maintenance, and asset protection policies.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations:
  • You have 3 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a leadership/supervisory capacity.
  • Experience within the Co-op Retailing System, or in a retail Food Store would be an asset.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands \xe2\x80\x93 adaptable, organized, efficient, and committed.
  • You are Customer service-focused and possess good problem-solving skills.
  • You\xe2\x80\x99re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
