Meat cutter/butcher position:
The butcher will prepare meat by cutting, trimming, and boning larger portions into retail-sized steaks, chops, and roasts. Experience in whole animal butchery and asset but not a must, as we do specialize in whole animals. Key responsibilities include cutting meat, managing inventory, operating cutting machinery like saws and grinders, maintaining a clean workspace, packaging meat, and providing customer service by helping with selections and offering cooking advice. Must be able to work on your feet all day, a lift 50+lbs. 2 years minimum experience necessar. The butcher wage ranges from $22-30hr depending on experience/skill Level
Core responsibilities
Meat preparation: Cutting, trimming, boning, tying, and grinding meat to prepare it for sale.
Product display: Weighing, pricing, packaging, and arranging meat in display cases for customers.
Customer service: Assisting customers with their needs, answering questions, and preparing special cuts upon request.
Hygiene and safety: Keeping the workspace and all equipment clean and sanitary, following food safety regulations, and maintaining a sharp and safe set of tools.
Filling The meat case in the morning and cleaning/shutting down the back in the evening
Additional duties
Inventory management: Monitoring stock levels, placing orders with suppliers, and storing meat correctly.
Processing: Seasoning, marinating, smoking, or processing meat into other products like sausages or burgers.
Equipment maintenance: Operating and maintaining cutting machinery and ensuring knives are sharp and clean.
Front counter/deli attendant position:
The front counter attendant prepares, packages, and sells fresh meat, sliced deli meat, makes hot sandwiches, labels and prices product, and serves customers all while also maintaining a clean and organized storefront. . Key duties include stocking displays, packaging and labelling, assisting customers with product selection and orders, and adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines. Must be able to work on your feet all day and lift 50lbs. Customer service experience necessary, and meat/grocery experience an asset

Flexibility: A flexible schedule is often required.
Additional responsibilities
Maintaining cleanliness of the department, including equipment, counters, and the storage area.
Managing inventory by rotating stock and removing expired products.
Opening the front in the morning and Cleaning/shutting down in the evening.
