Liberty's Foods' Meat Department is often raved as one of the best Meat Departments in the West Kootenays! Your role is to provide a positive customer experience, share your expert knowledge and send off the customer with a genuine invitation for a return visit.

Reporting to and working alongside the Meat Department Manager, your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Job Overview

Bring a positive attitude every day Cuts, trims, and otherwise prepares standard cuts of meat for sale Preparing specialty and value-added products Participate in merchandising activities, ordering, receiving and pricing activities Providing thorough and accurate knowledge of products and services Performing any additional duties assigned by the Meat Department Manager

Have a passion for great food and possess strong customer service skills Have an impeccable level of cleanliness, attention to detail and organization Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Thrive in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated and adapt well to shifting priorities Work well under minimal supervision Work well with others in a high-pressure environment Can work on your feet up to 8 hours in a day

Liberty Foods is located at 1950 Main Street, Fruitvale, BC. Hours of operation are from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Meat Cutter work shifts start as early as 7:00 a.m. and end as late as 6:15 p.m. Shift lengths normally are 8 hours.
