Job Description

Are you passionate about mathematics and looking for a rewarding part-time teaching position in Burlington, Ontario? ICan Education - Burlington is seeking a Mathematics Teacher to help students in elementary (grades 1 - 8) and high school (grades 9 - 12) continue to develop their mathematics skills in person in one-on-one and/or in small group sessions at the ICan Education learning centre. Some teaching online may be required depending on the needs of the students.

Job Duties

Teacher will support students' continued acquisition of their mathematics skills. Teach students in person at ICan Education learning centre in Burlington. Teach elementary students JK - grade 8, and high school students grades 9 - 12. Assess students' abilities and help modify lessons according to students' needs Complete periodic reporting, attend meetings, and training as required Participate in students review sessions

Qualifications and Education Requirements

2 or more years of experience teaching students Experience working with students with special needs & learning challenges Bachelor's Degree Excellent communication and organization skills Knowledge of Ontario Curriculum related to English language requirements

Classes are from Monday to Friday from 3:30 pm - 8:30 pm in Burlington, Ontario. Hours may change as needed. Training and ongoing support is provided for the selected candidates Allows teachers to gain and maintain teaching experience.
