Scholars is seeking Canadian Certified Teachers (OCT preferred) to support the editing and quality assurance of mathematics lessons for Grades 1-8. In this contract-based role, you will review lessons created by lesson developers, ensuring that they align with regional curriculum requirements, follow Scholars' templates and guidelines, and reflect best practices in instruction. You will provide constructive written feedback to developers and collaborate with the Director of Curriculum to ensure clarity, consistency, and academic rigor across the full program.

You are a Canadian Certified Teacher (OCT preferred) with strong knowledge of the Ontario Mathematics Curriculum (Grades 1-8).
You have experience in curriculum development, resource design, or program evaluation.
You are detail-oriented, with strong editing and written communication skills.

You are highly organized and able to meet deadlines consistently.
Responsibilities
Review mathematics lessons and worksheets developed by the Lesson Developer team.
Ensure all lessons:
Align with the assigned scope and sequence.
Follow the official Scholars template and formatting standards.
Reflect evidence-based instructional practices and scaffolded learning progressions.
Include accurate mathematical content, success criteria, and accessible student-facing language.
Are edited for spelling and grammar.
Provide clear, constructive feedback to lesson developers, highlighting strengths and recommending revisions where needed.
Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum to maintain consistency, accuracy, and program cohesion.
Track edits and feedback to ensure a transparent revision process.
Project Details
The project will commence in November/December 2025 and continue until lesson development is complete.
We require a commitment of approximately 10 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your schedule.
Employment will be contract-based, with payment provided per strand of the curriculum that is reviewed.
