MATH INSTRUCTOR SUPERSTAR WANTED

Mathnasium is the industry leader in providing supplemental math education to children in Kindergarten through Grade 12. For the last 8 years, Mathnasium of Langley has been helping kids master math. All applicants will be required to take a math skills test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A thorough knowledge of math up to and including pre-calculus (a limited number of elementary specialist positions are also available).
• Experience either teaching or learning within the British Columbia, Canadian education system
• A passion for teaching kids!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Just Teaching. No Lesson Plans. No Preparation.

• Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment.
• Display a positive attitude, and demonstrate enthusiasm for math.
• Supervise, interact with, and motivate students.
• Reward students for completed work, and especially for demonstrated mastery.
• Evaluate and document student progress.
• Communicate student needs to the Center Director.

You will be trained to teach using the Mathnasium Method. All of the tools you need will be provided.

AVAILABILITY:

• Successful candidates will be available 10-20 hours per week. We prioritize those with 5 day/week availability.
• Working hours generally fall between 3:00 and 7:00 PM Monday-Friday, some Saturdays available as well.
