Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our team. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for educating students in the subject of Science & Math. You will create engaging lesson plans, deliver instruction, and assess student progress.

Required:

- able to teach Science 10-12 / Math 8-12

- graduated from a highschool or secondary school in Canada

Candidates who can teach Math or Science completely in English without any miscommunication due to language difference are only considered.

If you have any difficulty teaching in English, please don't apply for this position.

A candidate who can speak Korean (even though you can't teach in English) is very welcomed, but only those who graduated from a high school in Canada will be invited to our interview.

Duties:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with BC curriculum and educational standards

- Teach various concepts and question in Science 10 / Physics 11 / Chemistry 11 to students.

- Utilize a variety of instructional methods and materials to engage students in the learning process

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and collaboration

- Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects

- Provide individualized support to students who require extra assistance or have special education needs

- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum materials

Experience:

- Previous experience teaching mathematics or science at the secondary level is highly desirable- Experience with tutoring or providing additional support to students is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
