Job Description
The Learning Planet a child education centre based in BC Lower-Mainland. We provide after-school lessons on math, English, chess, sciences, etc. We are seeking a Math and English Tutor who can conduct in-person and online lessons. You will be tutoring students K-12 in a small group / one-on-one setting. You will be required to travel to our Langley and South Surrey location.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions for Math and English. Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. Assign and mark homework, quizzes, and tests. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to support student development. Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide parents with reports on the students' progress from time to time, or upon request. Create a supportive and engaging learning environment for kids. Assist with administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is preferred. Minimum 3 years of tutoring experience is required. Class 5 driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle is required. Knowledge in other subjects is an asset (chemistry, physics, French, etc.). References will be requested.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week
