Position Overview:

IMP Aerospace & Defence was awarded the principal Canadian subcontract for Leonardo's Cormorant Mid-Life Upgrade project. The IMP CMLU program will upgrade 13 SAR helicopters to the newest standard, including digitally controlled engines with increased power, new glass cockpits, wireless in-cabin communications, and the latest technology available for SAR sensors. These upgrades will quicken SAR missions, resulting in a more-efficient rescue process.
The Manager of CMLU Material is a key member of the leadership team within the CMLU program, reporting directly to the VP of CMLU. This role is responsible for directing and managing the entire material cycle, including parts supply, inventory management, tool crib operations, and kitting cycles, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
What You Will Do:

Material Cycle Management: Oversee the complete material cycle, ensuring timely and efficient procurement, storage, and distribution of materials.
Parts Supply: Manage the supply of parts, ensuring availability and minimizing downtime.
Inventory Management: Implement and maintain inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.
Tool Crib Operations: Supervise tool crib operations, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and readily available.
Kitting Cycle: Manage the kitting cycle to ensure all necessary components are prepared and available for production.
Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor performance indicators and targets to ensure operational efficiency.
Continuous Improvement: Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) activities, regularly reporting progress to the customer, VP of CMLU, and the IMP executive team.
Supplier Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to address potential parts shortages or discrepancies.
Capacity Management: Manage departmental capacity and develop team members to ensure a high-performing and adaptable workforce.
Take a "hands on" approach to troubleshooting problems when needed.
What You Will Bring:
------------------------
Must possess a degree or other post-secondary education specializing in supply chain or business administration with a minimum of 7 years of supply chain management.
Related professional designation preferred but not required. (e.g. CPP, P. Log).
Experienced in supplier managements, contract management, metrics, budget forecasting and financial analysis, ideally with exposure to the aerospace or other regulated industries.
Demonstrated management and leadership skills, including an ability to foster a team approach to procurement management & services and goal achievement.
Solid understanding of materiel planning and forecasting as well as supply and inventory management.
Extensive knowledge of procurement methods, practices and procedures (contract law, contract tendering and awarding).
Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced understanding of ERP systems, JD Edwards preferred.
Excellent time management and promotes efficiency.
Analytical approach to problem solving. Can be logical and decisive.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to work in a fast pace environment while meeting deadlines.
Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies.
