:

Like on a sports team, everyone contributes to the success of a business. The materials clerk is the first point of contact for projects involving hardware and is responsible for greeting and assisting customers in a proactive and courteous manner.

Job summary

The materials clerk stocks shelves and handles merchandising, creating and setting up product displays in strategic locations. The incumbent also receives goods from suppliers, ensures compliance with occupational health and safety standards and procedures, and keeps the workplace clean.

• Ability to make calculations to estimate the quantity of products required
• Proficiency in the use of computer systems

Working conditions

• Salary range: $15.50 to $20.69/hr (based on experience and internal equity)
• Variable work schedule
• Standing work with frequent movement
• Loads of 50 to 75 pounds to be lifted
