In this role, you'll support materials testing and quality assurance activities -- including soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt -- in the field and/or laboratory across a variety of industrial and civil projects throughout Canada.

What You'll Be Doing
Field & Laboratory Testing
- Conduct quality control and assurance testing on construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Sampling & Inspection
- Prepare and collect representative samples for laboratory analysis and monitor material placement and workmanship on construction projects.
Quality Monitoring
- Identify and report any non-conformance issues or deviations to management promptly.
Safety Leadership
- Participate actively in Inline's corporate and client HSE programs, promoting safe work practices and leading by example in the field and lab.
Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain, clean, and calibrate materials testing equipment and ensure vehicles are kept in good working order.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with supervisors, clients, and team members to support project delivery and maintain strong professional relationships.
Documentation & Reporting
- Accurately record field data, testing results, and observations in compliance with quality control standards and Inline's ISO 9001 Quality Program.
Continuous Learning
- Take initiative to develop your technical skills and understanding of materials testing processes through on-the-job training and mentorship.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a
Civil Engineering Technology
or related program.
Safety Certifications
-
CSTS 2020, CSO, and WHMIS 2015
certifications (Inline will assist in obtaining if required).
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of construction materials testing procedures, equipment handling, and data recording.
Communication & Teamwork
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively with team members.
Attention to Detail
- Organized and accurate in documenting test results and maintaining quality records.
Physical Readiness
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Driver's License
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract required.
Willingness to Travel
- Availability to travel to project sites across Canada for either local or FIFO assignments.
