Telecon is currently looking to hire a Material Manager for a 4-month temporary contract. This role will be supporting our client based in
Baltimore, Ontario
.
This is a remote opportunity, however there may be the occasional visit required to the client site. The ideal candidate will therefore be based in Northumberland County.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in material or logistics management, preferably in the telecommunications, construction, or utilities industry
Strong understanding of telecom infrastructure materials (fiber, coax, conduit, hardware, etc.) is an asset
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/inventory management systems
Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with multiple stakeholders
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Plan, organize, and manage all material-related activities to support network builds and maintenance projects
Forecast material requirements based on project schedules and coordinate timely procurement with vendors and internal teams
Inventory management with suppliers and contractors
Monitor inventory, and replace stock as required
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, price, and delivery performance meet project needs
Coordinate material deliveries to the construction teams
Update orders and material tracking systems to monitor stock levels and prevent shortages or overages.
Continual follow up on consumables and replenish stock
Lead periodic inventory audits and report discrepancies or process improvements
Implement and maintain best practices in material handling, safety, and storage
Create PO's for material orders
