Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of functions related to the prepartion, distribtuion and allocation of raw material to production equipment / machines.
• Supply machines with specified raw material
• Follow described procedures for proper handling of materials
• Respond to urgent material related issues as required
• Movement of raw material to and from storage racks / areas via a lift truck
• Communicate with supervisor and set-up technicians regarding material change filters
• Clean and oeprator dryer vessels, grinders, hoppers, hoppers loaders, proportion unit, etc.
• Break down and store empty gaylords. Use and maintain grinders for rejected parts.
• Complete all related activities pertaining to colour / material changes as required.
• Sweep aisle at least once every shift and support other 5S and MAFACT objectives throughout the plant
• Adhere to all company safety and envrionmental rules and policies
• Perform cycle counting of physical inventory, as required
• Ensure that the highest levels of quality and efficiency standards are encouraged and maintained
• Report any unsafe conditions and hazards to management
• Initiate and/or participate in continuous improvement activities
• Ensure compliance and enforcement of Customer Specific Requirements, QMS (IATF16949), H&S (ISO 45001), EMS (ISO14001) and security (PIP) requirements
• Attend authorized training in order to develop and/or maintain relevant job-related knowledge, techniques, skills and/or certification
• May be required to carry out job duties and responsiblities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature
• Any other reasonable duty required by management

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent, preferred
• Good communication skills including written and verbal English as well as basic math skills; interpersonal skills
• Must have valid forklift and crane certificate (Counterbalance and Reach)
• Successful completion of forklift medical exam required
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical abilities
• Effective computer skills, including knowledge of software in current use.
• Manual dexterity; able to lift heavy objects specific to operation
• Understanding of lean manufacturing, an asset
