Hours: Night shift. Monday to Friday 10.30 PM to 7.00 AM.


  • Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
  • Support Siemens teams when trouble shooting
  • Performs on-site and in-house technical support, onsite commissioning support, onsite training of personnel on products and other related products to project team members
  • Proficient writing skills to prepare documentation for review and future reference. The documentation must be coherent and explain thought process for others to understand the information.
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged and escalated accordingly
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports
  • Document technical knowledge in form of technical bulletins and manuals
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • Performing Emergency repairs
  • Performing electrical work as required
  • General cleanup of work areas
  • Assist the daily operation as needed
  • Will become a trainer for the Maintenance department and will be expected to train fellow maintenance team members
  • Support project team with commissioning and other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
  • Electromechanical Engineering Technology Program Diploma or completion of course equivalency in automation programs from a recognized institution required.
  • Preference given to a candidate with added qualification of 442A Industrial Electrician
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an automated maintenance environment.
  • Working and programming knowledge of Siemens PLC systems. Siemens VFD and operations
  • Industrial electrical troubleshooting skills including 480V three phase motor and control circuits, Electrical schematic print reading, variable frequency drives, motor starters, and input/output systems
  • Familiarity with high level control systems SCADA systems, and network architecture including servers, ethernet, fiber optic, network switches (ethernet, fiber), workstations, and barcode scanning systems, and Profibus
  • Must be capable bending, crawling and work in tight spaces
  • Able to solder and repair electronics components and parts
  • Ability to troubleshoot system using electrical print and update the prints
  • Ability to navigation computer programs and GUI interfaces
  • Ability to troubleshoot Barcode scanner system an asset
  • Must pass a PLC qualification test to be eligible for this position
  • Must pass a Networking qualification test to be eligible for this position
  • Must pass a data base qualification test (example Oracle)
