This role is located at 215 Wicksteed Avenue, Toronto, ON but will be relocating to Vaughan, ON in January 2023. The candidate selected for hire will train on day shift and then move to the evening shift and or night shift based on the needs of the business. You must be willing to work days, evenings, and/or night shifts. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The incumbent\xe2\x80\x99s main responsibilities will be to maintain continuous flow from receiving raw materials to supporting production needs to shipments of finished products to the customer. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using the appropriate equipment, move full pallets of raw materials and finished products to the appropriate area.
  • Wrap skids of finished products from production areas and transfer products on trucks going to Tremco Distribution Center or RCBC.
  • Identify, move, and store overflow raw materials and packaging into back-up distribution center (50 Beth Nealson).
  • Using appropriate equipment, pick and place finished products on shipping pallet based on pick slip.
  • Perform physical inventory by counting and verifying quantity of finished products against pick slip.
  • Wrap and package pallet prepare for shipping. This includes putting on address labels for each pallet and posting picked order to SAP (Goods issue).
  • Load order using appropriate truck.
  • Ensure the Driver and Shipper/Material Handler sign off on the bill of lading.
  • Review expected shipments that will be received for the day (ex. raw materials) and from other warehouses (ex. Beth Nealson). Determine areas to store deliveries.
  • Unload transport trailers and store products to designated storage areas. Code received products and label with HMIS (in-house label system) sticker.
  • Verify received shipment has Certificate of Analysis (testing documentation from vendor).
  • Deliver specified raw materials to lab for testing. Once the material is cleared for use, key packing list/PO\'s into SAP.
  • Work with Purchasing to address order errors, damages, packaging issues, product coding. Internal deliveries of smaller packages ie. office supplies.
  • Follow safe work procedures and practices.
  • Recognize and report hazards.
  • Attend health and safety meetings.
  • Participate in training, audits, and inspections.
  • Comply with legal duties and Tremco safety policies and procedures.
  • All employees are liable under the Criminal Code of Canada as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act to take every reasonable precaution in the circumstances for the protection of workers.
EDUCATION:
  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 3-5 years of previous experience in a Shipping/Material Handling capacity preferred.
  • Experience in handling the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (ground & air) is an asset.
  • Experience in the operation of a Center Ryder, Counterbalance Forklift (electric & propane) and Reach Truck is an asset.
  • MHE ( Material Handling Equipment) training is provided in-house by our internal training team.
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:
  • The hourly rate for applicants in this position generally ranges between $23.20 and 25.25. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
  • SHIFT PREMIUMS: Afternoon includes $0.80, Nights includes $1.10
