Summary:

Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products. Pick orders and stock. Make labels and attach to goods. Crate goods. Maintain and organize inventory.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment Perform other material handling activities such as counting, sorting, packing and unpacking Install fixtures and hanging devices onto a conveyor Identify and tag parts as required Protect parts from damage when packaging Ability to operate small hand tools in a safe manner.

Other Duties, but not limited to:

Maintain and clean working area Check computer systems for material locations and inventory status Other duties as decided by supervisor Ensure correct counts on materials

Qualifications:

Possesses experience and working knowledge in forklift operation. Physical strength is required for manual material handlers who work with heavy materials Knowledge of WHMIS and hazardous goods Ability to understand verbal and written instruction Strong verbal communication Ability to work with minimal supervision Excellent organizational skills

Working Conditions:

40 hour work week (Monday to Friday, eight (8) hours per day) Fast-paced manufacturing environment Physically demanding Frequent standing, bending, walking, and stretching Lifting of light and heavy materials
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.50 per hour

Experience:
