On behalf of our client in manufacturing, located in the south end of the city, we are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler. The Material Handler plays an integral role in ensuring material is available for the manufacturing team. This person should be comfortable with computers and have good reporting capabilities. They are continuously looking to improve efficiency and reduce stock shortages and can spot potential shortages. This individual has a \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cdo-what-you-need-to-do\xe2\x80\x9d type attitude. If this sounds like you this could be the right role for you.

The Material Handler is Responsible For:

  • Preparing orders by processing requests, pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in the delivery area.
  • Supplying production with raw materials based on production orders/BOMS/pick lists.
  • Enforcing inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
  • Completing shipments by processing orders.
  • Kitting electronic component parts from various warehouse locations and delivering to the assembly teams.
  • Performing incoming inspections on mechanical and electronic components.
  • Taking ownership of inventory control and management.
You and Your Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Electronics manufacturing is an asset.
  • Experience working with NetSuite ERP is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with inventory control/management.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with ESD handling is an asset.
  • Forklift Certification is required withing 90 days of job entry date.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
