Job Description
Our client, an Automation Company is seeking a Material Handler to join their team on an afternoon shift.
Job Title: Material Handler
Location: Cambridge, ON
Pay Range: $24-28 an hour
What\xe2\x80\x99s the Job?
- Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
- Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
- Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
- Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
- May prepare kitting packages pulling parts from inventory and delivery them for assembly production.
- Availability to train on a day shift for two months
- Long-term availability for afternoon shifts, Reliable transportation due to shift end time
- Able to clear a criminal background check
- Post-secondary diploma or High School Diploma
- 2 years experience within a forklift, warehouse, material handler position
