Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Material Handler will be responsible for handling, preparing, preparing, and documenting items for shipment and internal movement. You will ensure that all materials needed are provided in a timely manner to support operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely store, retrieve, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment in line with driver safety guidelines. Accurately enter and maintain stock locations in inventory control systems. Report deviations, stock adjustments, and defective materials immediately. Follow warehouse processes to protect materials from damage, deterioration, or contamination. Inspect and label materials clearly and accurately. Ensure in-process materials are packaged to prevent damage. Assist with inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies. Report any delays, discrepancies, waste, bottlenecks, or issues immediately. Troubleshoot minor issues and report any major repair needs to the supervisor and/or maintenance personnel. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries and report any safety concerns or incidents immediately. Ensure the work area is clean and free of hazards. Collaborate with supervisors, team members, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow. Suggest and participate in process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality practices.

Skills, Education, and/or Experience

Valid Forklift license required - will provide training if not already certified Education or training in material handling and shipping and receiving preferred. Previous experience in a shipping and receiving or similar role preferred. Familiarity with hand tools and other manufacturing basic equipment preferred. Familiarity with distribution equipment, systems, and software preferred. High attention to detail and organizational skills required. Familiarity with quality and process improvement preferred. Technical skills required for computers and tablets. Able to work proficiently in a team-oriented setting, as well as independently. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Health and Safety guidelines.

Job Conditions



Physical Demands:



Moderate physical effort - able to lift up to 50lbs. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Sitting, lifting, squatting, pushing, pulling, or reaching for intermittent or extended periods.

Work Environment:



Factory, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Office. May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment. May use chemicals or other in accordance with MSDS. May operate machinery in close proximity or with objects exposed to eyes or face.
