Shipping/Receiving & Material Handler
to join our team in Orillia. In this role, you will be the heartbeat of our logistics, ensuring that raw materials reach our fabricators efficiently and that finished products leave our facility on time and in perfect condition.

Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
Inbound: Receive incoming shipments of raw materials (steel, aluminum, consumables) and verify them against packing slips and purchase orders. Inspect for damage and report discrepancies immediately.
Outbound: Prepare finished fabricated products for shipment. This includes crating, strapping, wrapping, and labeling goods to ensure damage-free transit.
Logistics: Coordinate with trucking companies and couriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Prepare bills of lading (BOL) and shipping documentation.
Material Handling & Inventory
Equipment Operation: Safely operate counterbalance forklifts and overhead cranes to
move heavy materials and finished weldments throughout the shop and yard.
Production Support: Ensure the fabrication team has the necessary materials at their stations to maintain workflow.
Inventory Control: Perform regular cycle counts, organize the stockyard/warehouse, and maintain accurate inventory records in our system.
Maintenance: Keep the shipping/receiving area and yard clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of experience in a shipping/receiving or manufacturing environment. Experience in a metal fabrication or welding shop is a strong asset.
Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Licence is required. Overhead Crane certification is highly preferred (or willingness to be trained).
Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy (Email, Microsoft Office) and familiarity with inventory management software.
Licensing: Valid Class G Driver's Licence and a clean driving abstract.
