Suntech Coating Ltd. is a locally owned and operated company, located in Rosenort, Manitoba. We are providing

powder coating solutions for parts and equipment used in many industries. We currently have an opening for one (1)

Material Handler (NOC 75101) with some Coating Equipment Operator (NOC 94213) duties.

Employment type: Permanent, full time (40h/week) (1 vacancy), some overtime available

Position Summary: Reporting to the business owner, the Material Handler will be assisting with the day-to-day

activities in the powder coating business.

Duties include:

- Tend to receiving products

- Load, unload and move products, materials and equipment by hand and by forklift.

- Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking

- Operate winches and other loading devices to load and unload (heavy) materials and equipment onto and

off trucks

- Operate forklift, loaders, trucks and other equipment to transport material and (heavy) equipment to and

from transportation vehicles and loading docks and to store and retrieve materials, products and equipment.

- Operate (overhead) conveyor to transfer materials into wash station

- Hang product on assembly line/(overhead) conveyor

- Inspect finished product for touch-ups

- Check proper thickness of coating using micrometers, calipers or other devices

- Take finish product from (overhead) conveyer

- Package finished product for shipping

- Clean and maintain shop area, including assembly line area, receiving and shipping area, as well as

business yard

- Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment

- May tend to ovens with cure powder coating

- May perform other activities such as opening containers and crates, filing warehouse orders, assisting in

taking inventory and weighing and checking materials.

Requirements:

- Physical strength is required since we work with heavy materials

- Able to operate a forklift is required

- Some experience in operating production machinery or equipment is required.

- Able to follow instructions is required

- Being able to stand for extended periods

- Being mechanically inclined would be an asset

- Experience in lifting, moving and assembling would be an asset;

- Able to maintain and basic repair of machinery and equipment would be an asset

- Be able to work independent as well as part of a team

- Be able to communicate in the English language.

- Able to communicate in the German language is an asset
