Vulcraft Canada, Inc, A Division of Nucor Corporation is currently looking for a Material Handler / Yard Person to join our Leduc, Alberta team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This Material Handler / Yard Person is responsible for the safe and efficient loading & unloading of materials, and for keeping finished goods organized and prepared for future shipments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Safe and efficient loading and unloading of trailers using shunt trucks, forklifts and overhead cranes. Responsible for organizing and staging finished goods in the yard. Frequent heavy lifting of materials. Movement of materials within the shop to ensure materials are stored in a safe manner. Ensure accurate and timely processing of all shipping and receiving documents. Ensure documents are cross checked with purchase/sales orders for accuracy. Perform other duties as required by the Supervisor. Be willing to help the team succeed wherever possible.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 1-2 years experience in material handling, loading and unloading. Capable of working outside. Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse/ yard setting Experience in the steel industry is considered an asset Forklift Ticket is an asset Overhead crane ticket is an asset Safety conscious attitude Overtime hours may be required
