Overview
On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is Shipping/Receiving associates at a Countertop manufacturing facility in KITCHENER. This position requires heavy lifting and material handling
Shift:
Days: Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Thursday 7:30AM \xe2\x80\x93 4:00PM, Friday 7:30AM \xe2\x80\x93 12:00PM
This is a FULL-TIME position. We thank all those that apply, however, only those qualified will be contacted for an interview. Students are not eligible for this position.
Pay Rate: $19/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!
Responsibilities
- Shipping helper to work alongside Shipper/Receivers to load/unload tops and heavy materials in a safe manner
- Use of Pallet jack and Forklift (if licensed)
- Other duties as assigned
- Documented experience in Shipping/Receiving
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform repetitive lifting safely and effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- Respect diversity \xe2\x80\x93 treat others with respect
- Ability to work independently and within a team to complete daily activities according to work schedule
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- CSA Approved Footwear
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
