Reporting to the Operations Manager, MedFlight, the Materials Administrator, Air Program will provide sourcing, inventory, ordering, monitoring and resupply of medical consumables and equipment as well as operations support activities. The position will also provide shipping & receiving support and facilitate coordination for repairs and preventative maintenance of medical and operational equipment as required.
Responsibilities include:

• Operates system vehicles in accordance with policies.
• Maintains and ensures proper documentation for all air operations procurement and logistical accountability.
• Ensure documentation related to orders, invoices, shipping and receiving are provided to the Administrative Assistant.
• Complies with MHS policies and procedures for ordering of supplies, equipment, and assets.
• Conducting audits of orders and invoicing as well as budget compliance.
• Participating in Procurement related projects as a subject matter expert.
• Development and implementation of Procurement and Inventory Administration best practices.
• Assisting with management of Crown Assets.
• Monitors and responds to drug and supply expiries to avoid shortages.
• Routinely monitors stock levels and proactively orders replacement stock before supplies are diminished.
• Ensures all air operations supply stations including designated hospitals are kept stocked as per established "max" inventory supply levels.

Professional Qualifications & Competencies:

• High school graduate.
• Ability to complete and retain a class 5 Newfoundland Driver Licence in good standing.
• Experience with coordination and procurement an asset.
• Current registration or previous paramedic experience is an asset.
• Possesses WHIMIS certification, or a willingness to obtain and maintain.
• Possesses Standard First Aid certification, or a willingness to obtain and maintain.

• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Competent computer skills
• Experience with software such as MS Excel and MS Outlook.
• Displays good decision-making and takes initiative.
