My Handy Pro Inc. is seeking a fully qualified and licensed
Master Electrician
to lead all electrical projects and serve as the
Designated Master Electrician (DME)
for our
ECRA/ESA Licence
. This role is critical for ensuring compliance and technical excellence across our diverse residential, commercial, and
industrial
project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities: Compliance & Supervision
Serve as the named
Designated Master Electrician (DME)
, responsible for the legal planning and direct supervision of all electrical work.
Must be able to pull electrical permits (ESA)
and manage all required inspections.
Ensure 100% compliance with the
Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC)
, which supersedes the NEC in Ontario.
Provide guidance and
mentorship to junior electricians
on the team.
What You Will Do: Technical Execution & Oversight
Supervise and coordinate
electrical work across various sites, ensuring adherence to project timelines and safety protocols.
Install, maintain, and repair
complex electrical systems in
commercial and industrial
settings.
Diagnose and
troubleshoot
electrical issues using
ohmmeters
and specialized diagnostic equipment.
Read and interpret detailed
blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
for accurate installation.
Collaborate effectively with project managers and other tradespeople (e.g., our Maintenance Technicians) on
renovation projects
.
Essential Requirements
Certification (REQUIRED):
Valid, current
Master Electrician (ME)
Licence and
309A Certificate of Qualification
.
Experience:
Proven, strong background in both residential
and commercial electrician roles
(minimum 5+ years post-apprenticeship).
Specialized Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge of both
high voltage and low voltage
systems.
Troubleshooting:
Proficient in real-time problem-solving on construction sites and skilled in using specialized testing equipment.
Preferred:
Familiarity with
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
is highly preferred.
Logistics/Driving:
Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.

Tools:
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools. Specialized testing and large power equipment will be provided.

Final Offer & Partnership Discussion:
The final interview will detail the terms of employment and the path to company partnership/shareholding.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.60-$58.70 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
