Job Description

As a Master Electrician (licensed by the Electrical Safety Authority in Ontario), you will oversee entire LED lighting retrofit and network control projects, managing teams, permits, and client relations in Toronto. This senior role involves strategic planning, quality assurance, and operational leadership to ensure projects meet high standards of cleanliness, timeliness, and compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code. With the authority to pull permits and sign off on work, you will handle escalations, warranties, and resource management. Requires Journeyman certification plus successful Master Electrician exam, with extensive experience in smart lighting systems.

Responsibilities

Interpret and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes. Supervise and mentor junior electricians and apprentices on job sites. Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools and power tools effectively. Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with installation teams to integrate Network Lighting Control systems into commercial and industrial facilities. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Experience

Proven experience as a Master Electrician with entrepreneurial mindset. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage applications. Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical installations. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in electrical work. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
