We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional therapeutic services to clients, helping them achieve relaxation and relief from muscle tension. This role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service, ensuring that each client receives personalized care tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and therapeutic massages, based on client preferences and needs. Assess clients' physical conditions by reviewing medical histories and conducting thorough consultations before treatments. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific concerns and adjust techniques accordingly. Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments or self-care practices as needed. Document treatment plans and progress notes accurately in client records while adhering to confidentiality standards. Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices through continuous education and professional development.

Qualifications

Valid state license or certification in massage therapy. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred to enhance communication with clients regarding their health conditions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for clients. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Previous experience in a spa or wellness setting is a plus but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to accommodate client schedules.
