Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various massage techniques and be dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. This role requires strong communication skills and team work, as the candidate will work in an interdisciplinary clinic, including physiotherapy and kinesiology.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of massage techniques tailored to the individual needs of clients, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage. Assess client needs and preferences through effective communication, ensuring a personalized experience. Maintain accurate records of client treatments and progress while adhering to confidentiality standards. Communicate accurately with ICBC clients and their case managers, charting and writing reports and treatment plans when needed. Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or self-care practices. Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in the treatment area, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and support for clients' health goals.

Qualifications

In good standing with RMTBC and CCHPBC. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and create a positive experience. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Previous experience in a clinic setting is an asset, but not mandatory; we welcome recent graduates as well.
