Markets & Events Sales Representative
Job Description
We're seeking a friendly, reliable, and sales-driven individual to represent Chap Chap Snacks at markets, pop-ups, and events throughout the year, across the Ottawa-Gatineau region, including nearby communities. You'll be the face of our brand on the ground by engaging customers, driving sales, offering samples, and helping us create memorable experiences.
This role is perfect for someone who loves people, food, and hands-on work, and who thrives in lively, customer-facing environments.

What You'll Do
Set up and tear down booths at markets and events
Represent Chap Chap Snacks professionally and enthusiastically
Actively sell products and process payments
Offer samples and explain products, ingredients, and brand story
Engage customers and encourage repeat purchases
Capture photos/videos for social media when requested
Track basic event metrics (sales, inventory, customer feedback)
Communicate with the founder before and after events
What We're Looking For
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (
required
) Availability for10-20 hours per week
(mostly weekends, some weekdays) Strong communication and people skills Confident, outgoing, and comfortable approaching customers Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated Ability to lift and transport event materials (up to 50 lbs) Previous experience in sales, customer service, events, or promotions is an asset Interest in food, culture, and small businesses is a big plusCompensation
$22/hour base pay
Sales commission on top of hourly pay
, based on meeting aminimum sales threshold per event
