Founded in 2017, Ignite has grown over the past eight years to include four locations in the Lower Mainland, with a fifth on the way. Our three Vancouver locations are nestled in the vibrant neighborhoods of Mount Pleasant, Gastown, and Yaletown, and our South Surrey location is situated in the Morgan Crossing outdoor shopping area. This is an incredibly exciting time to join our growing small business. We are seeking a Marketing Specialist for a 12-15 month contract (maternity leave). This role supports marketing initiatives across all locations and touchpoints, including catering and events. The ideal candidate is a creative, highly organized person, with a passion for content creation, digital marketing, promotions, and motivating our team. What will you do this year?

In your role as a Marketing Specialist, your primary accountabilities are:

Develop and execute campaigns: create and implement campaigns to promote Ignite's brand, menu offerings, and service. Customer research: conduct research to understand our customer preferences and identify new markets. Liase with the team's data coordinator to identify trends. Coordinate photo shoots: liase with Ignite's photographer and assist to help capture the moments and menu we need to share for content and promotions. Market research: analyze industry trends and the competitive landscape to help inform pricing, messaging, product offerings, and promotions Point of Sale Management: Update the point of sale (Toast) with new menu items, promotions, and pricing. Develop the customer loyalty and email marketing programs. Third-party sellers: ensure accurate menu listings and execute promotions with third party sellers (such as Uber Eats, Doordash). Content creation: Develop compelling visual and written content for the website, email campaigns, and promotional materials. Manage Social Media: Create and curate engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, and analytics reporting. Familiar with Meta Ads Event production: Assist in organizing occasional Ignite events (1-2x annually), such as a new location opening party, or a special dinner event for select audiences Campaign Tracking and Performance: measure the success of promotional campaigns, identify the areas for improvements and recommend new courses of action. Brand Communication: collaborate with team members and external contacts (such as a graphic designer), to ensure cohesive brand messaging across various mediums. Trend monitoring: Stay current with marketing trends and best practices.
Additionally - you'll be part of the opening team for our next location!

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field an asset. Proven experience in marketing, content creation, and digital marketing. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Creative mindset with a passion for food and community engagement. Ability to analyze market trends and performance metrics. Proactive and a critical thinker. Proficiency in design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) an asset (not a requirement). On occasion (2-3 times annually), ability to work an evening or weekend for various events.

Additional Information

Ignite Pizzeria's compensation offerings are in alignment with a pay-for-performance pay philosophy that recognizes individual and teamwork performance. The role is a one-year contracted term (maternity leave) position, with an estimated pay rate of $28 per hour. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate's competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience. ?

After a one-year term, there is the potential to stay on longer, as our team is growing. After one year of full-time employment with Ignite, you are eligible for our extended group benefits package.
