In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Assist the National Marketing Manager in our Family business and McDonald’s in Walmart (MiW) portfolio.
    • Families have always been at the heart of our brand. This team works closely with our global team and internal cross-functional teams to bring joyful experiences to our family guests while continuing to evolve and modernize the Family experience.
    • With many McDonald’s restaurants within Walmart stores, this team attracts the Walmart shoppers and aims to make McDonald’s a part of their shopping experience. Maximizing our national campaigns and developing unique, exclusive marketing initiatives to capitalize on key shopping opportunities.
  • Day-to-day management of the Happy Meal toy program - working with the Global family team on the toy pipeline, and working closely with Supply Chain on forecasts & production, reviewing and approving all merchandising & advertising of toy properties, managing legal & advertising for kids’ compliance
  • Strategic support for marketing campaigns; supporting the development of communication briefs and cross-functional briefing presentations, and providing strategic feedback on advertising campaigns (merch, mass, digital, social, owned assets & media plans)
  • Liaison with cross-functional teams to lead the execution of marketing campaigns and launches, facilitating and influencing the cross-functional team and managing the collaborative process to ensure initiatives are on strategy, approved by all stakeholders and within required timelines (Ops, Deployment, Restaurant Execution, Comms, Supply Chain, Legal, Menu)
  • Responsible for internal review and approval of marketing campaigns, to ensure they adhere to brand standards & legal regulations, and developing communication for the field to ensure proper understanding of marketing promotions and flawless execution
  • Collaborate with Digital & Delivery teams on promotions & messaging specific to Family & MiW guests
  • Work with media teams on new ways to reach Walmart shoppers through McDonald’s communications
  • Work with Consumer and Business Insights teams to understand category opportunities, consumer needs, and identify opportunities to drive sales and visits
  • Support of admin duties: billing, file management & saving the project background information


Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of marketing experience in consumer retail or service marketing
  • Degree in Marketing preferred
  • Creative thinker that is customer-focused
  • Digitally savvy with understanding in how to reach consumers in a social world
  • Strong communication skills to act as a liaison, work effectively, and build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Takes initiative to work independently on day-to-day priorities and planning for future needs.
  • Must have good organizational skills, be detailed-oriented, and can prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate issues, creative problem solver, and critical thinker
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
