Reporting to the Senior Marketing Director, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for content creation and messaging that attracts, engages, and converts target audiences. This role ensures content is optimized, aligned with business goals, and supports broader marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller with strong writing skills, digital content experience, and a data-informed approach to improving performance. This role collaborates with internal teams to ensure content aligns with business objectives and customer needs.
Responsibilities
Develop engaging, SEO-optimized content across blogs, videos, infographics, and guides to attract and convert target audiences.
Audit and update content based on performance data, industry trends, and business objectives to improve engagement and effectiveness.
Develop and manage social media content and campaigns, incorporating user-generated content to enhance audience engagement and brand awareness.
Support sales and public relations initiatives by creating brochures, presentations, press releases, and media kits that effectively communicate key messages.
Plan and execute email marketing campaigns, tailoring messaging based on audience segmentation and market insights.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure content aligns with overall business strategy and customer needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Three to five years of experience in marketing, with a focus on content creation, digital marketing, or social media management.
Strong writing, storytelling, and editing skills, with experience developing customer-focused content across multiple formats.
Experience with content management systems such as WordPress and social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
Knowledge of SEO best practices, including keyword research and content optimization.
Experience in developing sales and marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and email campaigns.
Track and evaluate content performance metrics, applying insights to improve engagement and effectiveness.
Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
Proactive and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
