Position: Marketing Specialist, Offering Fulfillment, Direct Mail/Print Appeals Team

Reports to: People Leader, Supporter Centric Marketing

Position Term: Full Time 6 month secondment till June 16, 2023

World Vision Canada\'s Supporter Centric Marketing group focuses on delivering the right message, to the right audience, with the right solution at the right time. Our Marketing Specialists are key members in our product teams and perform the following:

  • Delivery of world-class, personalized impact content to our supporters.
  • Support the development, execution and ongoing monitoring of marketing initiatives.
  • Actively create solutions with product team members that deliver value to our supporters.
  • Collaborate with other product teams to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Live and breathe the agile mindset.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for creating engaging content for a variety of platforms including print, email, webpages, etc. Proof, edit and proactively review content to ensure accuracy and consistency with copy and images while meeting established deadlines and meet organizational guidelines.
  • Support the planning and execution of highly complex marketing campaigns/ initiatives.
  • Compile post-mortem analysis results of campaigns identifying trends to ensure efficiency and to offer recommendations for future initiatives. Identify opportunities that create lift to key metrics.
  • Develop, test and deploy digital assets, analyze performance, and make recommendations based on response.
  • Personalize content/appeals to target specific customer segments, leveraging Customer Data & Insights to support evidence based strategy. Be able to pivot or change directions in order to provide a better customer experience and to meet targets.
  • Work alongside audience/segment teams and agency to develop tests and strategies that innovate and improve campaign revenue and ROI.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to ensure plans are properly executed and that measures of quality control are adhered to.
  • Other tasks as required.
Qualifications required:
  • Post-secondary education in relevant area preferred.
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years\' of experience in either fundraising, direct mail, print/ digital marketing or business administration.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, financial, communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate within teams.
  • Track record of successful project management, execution skills, and results.
  • An innovative mindset with the ability to manage priorities.
  • Ability to think like the customer and a willingness to test and learn.
  • Self-directed and able to navigate/ integrate with several different departments to perform cross-functional tasks.
  • A passion for learning/ growing.
  • Familiarity working within an Agile framework, Scrum and Kanban an asset.
  • Experience working with agile tools an asset.
  • Commitment to quality.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to pivot as change occurs.
