Our team is seeking a Marketing Specialist with a passion for events and project management who will play a key role in developing and executing visibility strategies with our sales force and distribution network for the Emergency Lighting division\'s North American market.Working with the Regional Sales Managers, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating roadshows and sales events in Canada and the United States to raise brand and product awareness and drive sales. You\'ll also be developing lead generation strategies through advertising campaigns, sponsorships, and other promotional activities, while being ready to take on a variety of tasks to achieve results and work as a team with your marketing colleagues.
Your responsibilities

  • Develop the events and field activations strategy in collaboration with the Canadian and U.S. sales teams: confirm objectives, target clientele, budget and timeline with stakeholders, approval process and deployment.
  • Project management: manage and coordinate the various stages and logistics of events in collaboration with our external suppliers while ensuring that deadlines and budgets are respected.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for events to ensure success and submit post-mortem reports including lessons learned and best practice recommendations for future initiatives and strategies.
  • Identify lead generation tactics: optimize conversion in the usual channels and propose new, innovative ways of reaching target audiences.
  • Industry and opportunity analysis: monitor various potential touchpoints (events, partnerships, associations, media, etc.), analyze direct and indirect competitors, market trends and customer behavior, and highlight opportunities that could be integrated into our division\'s overall strategy.
  • Internal and external collaboration: coordinate with various groups, such as sales, product management, R&D and external vendors to ensure alignment throughout all stages of marketing initiatives and ensure integrated deployment across all touchpoints.
  • Annual strategy: actively participate in strategic discussions and development of the annual marketing plan to ensure balanced growth of the various product lines.
Your background
  • University degree in marketing, communications or related field and minimum 8 years of experience in relevant positions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects autonomously and set priorities.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability, and desire to work as part of a team and collaborate with different departments.
  • Great communication skills in English and in French: leading meetings, interpretation of needs, document and report presentations, writing.
  • Creative and positive spirit with a great sense of resourcefulness, the ability to innovate and thrive in a dynamic, changing and often pressure-packed environment.
  • Knowledge of the emergency lighting industry (an asset).
