Job Description

:

The Marketing Specialist will work alongside the Marketing Director and Manager in supporting a diverse portfolio of brands including; Clinique, Origins and Smashbox. In this role the Specialist will be responsible for; ensuring events and launches are executed successfully, comprehensive understanding of the changing media environment and positioning the brands within that space according each brand's unique identity, support the monitoring of the brand(s) presence and ecommerce business and partner with the PR team to align on key messaging and campaign support.

Main responsibilities include:

Marketing
Support and execute launch and promotional programs custom fitting them by retailer (requires knowledge of retailer levers, loyalty programs, VIP opportunities etc.)
Provide field support through for in-store / event execution.
Liaise with Customer Service Manager I Account Planning team to ensure consistent follow-up on all projects for on-time shipment of orders
Provide Retailers with upcoming event / promo / launch / advertising information
Work with Manager on creation of presentations for retail, field and corporate
Contribute to creating and maintaining a process for ROI tracking for events and media investment
Send artwork to retailers or vendors for advertising campaigns / in-store creative.
Collaborate and support Visual Merchandising team on planogram creation and visuals
Work with Manager and Director team to facilitate/plan marketing programs retailers and .ca
Work with local vendor to create consumer facing elements (posters / banners etc)
Support for all local production of in-store event material for respective programs
Provide Multicultural elements & strategies (translations, special elements etc.)

Ecommerce / Social
Maintain the marketing calendar for retailer.com
Maintain product launch and promo cadence for each retailer website.
Manage the posts and the calendar flow of social media handles
Partner with Marketing Director on category reviews for the pertinent segments of business which involves thorough research on Canada trends, competition, and consumer dynamics.
Point person for category information. (sku count, pricing and new product/ collateral/ sample forecasts)

Marketing Engagement
Awareness of competitive activity in the retail environment, through print, digital and social
Awareness of social media activity related to all brands within the portfolio

Project Management
Manage the production calendar
Manage project trackers for marketing and ad hoc marketing projects.
Manage and leads virtual events project tracker.
Manage Share point Merchandising Folder.

Support and reporting
Issue and manage PO, expenses entries and passport for the Advertising and Promotions budgets.
Access GMW and DAM (International Marketing Website) on a weekly basis to upload new launch bulletins and fact sheets on the server.
Issue Monthly Business review and ad hoc reports: NPD and Data warehouse.
Create seasonal programs ppt presentations & launch books (Retailers and FE) in collaboration with Marketing Managers.
Support the Marketing Director organizing Retailers Market meetings and National Sales Meetings: gifts, set up, food, zoom calls, ppt presentations and documentation.
Create launch guides for the FE for key launches/promotions in collaboration with the Marketing Managers.
Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department's activities.
Assist in streamlining work processes
Support Marketing Directors and Marketing Managers.
Courier ad hoc requests.
Qualifications

  • Post-secondary Degree required.
  • 3-5 years work experience in Marketing.
  • Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills as well as creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to recognize and prioritize needs of the brand to be in-line with local initiatives.
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Similar work experience in the cosmetics industry and retail environment preferred.
  • Strong computer skills in Power Point, Excel and Adobe.
  • French and/or Mandarin is a plus.
