Nursing, Nurse Practitioners, Foot Care, Mental Health, Physiotherapy, Rehab Assistance, and Telehealth.

Mara Wellness:

Preventive health, community education, and women's health programs.
We are seeking a Marketing, Outreach & Public Relations Manager with proven sales experience to expand Mara's market presence, lead proposal development, and drive consistent revenue growth across all divisions.

Position Summary



The

Marketing, Outreach & Public Relations Manager

plays a key role in building brand presence, driving awareness, and coordinating business development efforts across Mara's Home, Health, and Wellness divisions.

This role blends

marketing strategy, communications, Sales Growth and proposal development

-- ensuring Mara's services are consistently presented in a professional, competitive, and culturally responsive way to clients, partners, and government entities.

The ideal candidate will have strong writing and organizational skills, an understanding of healthcare marketing, and proven experience managing RFPs and proposal submissions within the public or community care sector.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or Health Administration (Master's an asset). Minimum

3 years of experience

in healthcare, wellness, or service-based marketing and sales. Proven experience achieving

revenue targets, closing partnerships, and generating business growth.

Demonstrated success in

proposal and RFP writing

within the healthcare or government sector. Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, content creation, and campaign management. Familiarity with PHIA/PIPEDA privacy legislation and ethical healthcare advertising. Exceptional writing, editing, and design coordination skills. Strong project management and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and deadlines. Proficiency with Google Workspace, Canva, CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot), and project tracking software. Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills. Analytical mindset with ability to track KPIs and report on ROI. Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities



Strategic Marketing & Brand Growth



Develop and execute a

12-month marketing and communications plan

for Mara Home, Health, and Wellness. Package Mara's service offerings into

clear, sellable bundles

for Home, Health, and Wellness clients. Ensure all marketing materials reflect cultural safety, accessibility, and compliance with

PHIA/PIPEDA

standards. Identify growth opportunities within new markets (Indigenous communities, private pay, senior services). Create persuasive sales presentations, capability statements, and marketing materials to support business development. Collaborate with leadership to identify target markets, competitive advantages, and emerging healthcare trends.

Digital Presence & Campaign Execution



Oversee website updates, Google Business profile, and search optimization for key services ("home care in Winnipeg," "private nursing," "foot care"). Coordinate targeted digital campaigns through social media, Google Ads, and email marketing. Implement a

review and referral program

to collect and publish client testimonials. Track campaign performance using analytics tools and CRM data.

Content & Communications



Partner with the Social Media Manager to create strategic monthly content calendars tied to awareness days (e.g., Diabetes Month, Seniors' and Elders' Month). Craft newsletters, blog posts, and brochures that educate the public and promote Mara's services. Support with proposal writing and community presentation decks for leadership when required.

Sales & Revenue Development



Generate new business leads through referrals, partnerships, digital campaigns, and professional networking. Follow up on inbound leads from digital or community outreach activities to convert them into active clients or contracts. Maintain and track all opportunities within the CRM system; report on lead progress, conversion rates, and revenue outcomes. Build and nurture partnerships with

Care Homes, clinics, long-term care facilities, Indigenous organizations, and employers

that can generate recurring client referrals. Meet or exceed

monthly and quarterly revenue goals

set in collaboration with leadership.

Proposal & RFP Coordination



Lead the preparation, writing, and coordination of RFPs (Requests for Proposals) for government, health authority, Indigenous, and community contracts. Review opportunity portals (e.g., MERX, Buyandsell, GN, ISC) and maintain a proposal calendar to track deadlines and submissions. Gather, organize, and update proposal assets such as company profiles, project references, resumes, capability statements, insurance certificates, and compliance documents. Work with the Community Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator to collect supporting data, community letters of support, and local engagement evidence. Track outcomes, feedback, and success rates to continually improve Mara's proposal process.

Partnership Marketing



Collaborate with the Community Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator to align marketing efforts with community engagement initiatives. Support the creation of co-branded materials with partners such as Clinics, Retirement Homes, care homes, and health authorities. Maintain strong internal communication between marketing, leadership, and operations teams.
