The Role
The Marketing Manager (Special Ventures) takes on a key role in the management and execution of the company's marketing efforts, from conception to completion. This role focuses on creating marketing strategies that enhance brand recognition and achieve above-market results through emotional resonance and measurable impact. The role seeks a confident individual with strong writing skills and a knack for brand and design aesthetics.

This maternity leave position is expected to last 18 months with a potential extension.
There will be a structured handover period with the incumbent before their leave to ensure a smooth transition. Strategy, Budgets & Timelines • Overall strategic planning, management and execution of marketing efforts
• Measurement and reporting on spending, and effectiveness of key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure a strong return on investment (ROI)
• Ensure schedules and KPIs are proactively communicated, and projects stay on time and on budget

Campaign Development & Execution • Curate strategic campaign briefs with clear objectives and KPIs to drive results
• Lead the development and execution of marketing collateral creation and dissemination in a timely manner that fits the Marcon aesthetic, including (but not limited to):
+ Signage (Wayfinding, Operational, Event, Etc.)
+ Websites (New Creation & Maintenance)
+ Print Materials (Handouts, Flyers, Posters, etc.)
+ Email Communications
• Coordinate visual merchandising, signage and advertising programs
• Collaborate with Corporate Communications Manager to curate content for social media channels
• Work directly with suppliers and vendors in various project management capacities
• Collaborate with wider marketing team to ensure marketing efforts align with sales objectives
• Communications with customers and prospects through CRM, including creating and managing email campaign calendars and guiding messaging and content in collaboration with sales

Existing Partnership Management (Food & Bev, Sales, IPP, Marcon) • Work directly with partners to drive awareness and traffic to increase revenue and hold partners accountable to targets
• Collaborate with partners to ensure lead generation efforts are optimized (events, loyalty programs, etc.)
• Analyze partner data and customer feedback to refine marketing strategies
• Manage all existing Brand/Vendor Partner relations, responding to queries and concerns promptly
• Collaborate with IPP team to ensure facilities algin with quality and experience standards that align to marketing brand
• Collaborate with partners to curate loyalty program and gift card program

Community & New Partnership Outreach • Brainstorm potential new partnerships and methods for engagement with local communities to engage new audiences and expand our Marcon network
• Build relationships and work closely with community partners to execute various events to enhance brand visibility
• Ensure alignment between community outreach activations and other corporate sponsorship opportunities
• Attend relevant community functions to identify and network potential opportunities for future collaborations, acting as an ambassador for the Marcon brand
• Identify, network and develop potential partnership opportunities with retail and hospitality vendors and brands that align with the Marcon brand for various long-term initiatives

Analytics & Reporting • Utilize analytics tools to track and measure the performance of marketing campaigns
• Provide regular reports to the leadership team, offering insights and recommendations to drive revenues
• Monitor progress of partners and your team through daily and weekly reporting
• Ongoing reporting and feedback loop with partners and vendors

Events Management • Strategize overall events calendar, budget, etc. and oversee execution by our Events & Experience Manager for hospitality establishments, project events and corporate events
• Ensure events organised through Brand/Vendor Partners are leveraged to allow the Marcon brand to be appropriately represented
• Assist at relevant community, hospitality and project launch events

About you

• 5+ years' experience in hospitality, retail, or real estate marketing.
• Superior writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate high-level objectives into actionable tasks.
• Strong aesthetic and brand understanding, with an interest in market trends.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Adobe Creative Suite knowledge is an asset.
• A solid understanding of digital initiatives, SEO, and Google products including Analytics, Ads, and Webmaster Tools
• CRM software experience.
• Highly Skilled and Resourceful: Exceptional at prioritizing, time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving; self-motivated, detail-oriented, and excels under pressure.
• Excellent Communicator and Trustworthy Professional: Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders; trustworthy, accountable, and takes pride in work and career growth.
• A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Post-secondary education preferably in Marketing or Business
• Additional language skills are an asset.

The compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
