The Opportunity
CWB\xe2\x80\x99s Marketing Manager, Personal Banking Motive, plays an integral role in the ideation, development, execution, and evaluation of effective digital marketing and advertising strategies, programs and campaigns to achieve business growth objectives. The successful candidate possesses proven capabilities in the design and execution of digital marketing business plans, including the use of research and data insights to optimize campaigns. Experience in financial services marketing or similar B2C industry marketing, this individual is expected to develop a deep understanding of CWB\xe2\x80\x99s target personal and mass personal segments and a strong focus on driving new client acquisition, share of wallet / product acquisition (deposits, investments), and retention within Motive Financial.
We are looking for a digitally savvy, strategic thinker that will work closely with CWB\xe2\x80\x99s other marketing managers and external agency partners and will provide in-direct oversight of the team\xe2\x80\x99s marketing specialists.
What you will be doing
Marketing & Advertising
Develop, execute and measure effective marketing and advertising strategies, programs and campaigns to achieve business growth objectives for our mass personal segment (Motive Financial).
Supporting the development and delivery of ongoing and ad hoc advertising campaigns that drive significant deposit growth.
Identify new campaigns, strategies, and channel opportunities with the goal of generating business revenue.
Develop relevant website content and apply best practices to ongoing content development.
Responsible for working closely with internal teams to effectively sell, market and support the suite of investment and deposit products.
Support the increase sales and new client acquisition and facilitate cross-sell opportunities, from external marketing campaigns to internal campaigns expanding wallet share with current clients.
Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities at the individual banking centre level and ensure appropriate tools and resources are provided for client growth, attraction and retention.
Educate sales and support teams on new programs and promotions to ensure a seamless client experience.
Support customer journey development, as required, and build and maintain marketing materials that empower teams to deliver our desired client experience.
Participate in project work related, primarily for the mass personal audience.
Support sales directives and develop marketing materials.
Manage vendors and other external partner relationships.
Research & Analysis
Proactively provide detailed analysis on all marketing initiatives with recommendations for optimization.
Partner with internal teams responsible for market and client research to ensure all strategies and initiatives consider Voice of the Client insights, industry best practices and, geographic, demographic and psychographic trends.
Develop and maintain a robust understanding of the client, market and industry to deliver marketing innovation to support stated objectives and financial results.
Contribute to segmentation work, as required, for mass personal clients and prospects.
Evaluate and validate marketing initiatives against business goals and objectives to ensure strategic fit and measurable ROI.
Strategy & Financial Management
Contribute to annual planning and budgeting, as required.
Responsible for prudent non-interest expense management based on annual approved budget.
Responsible for all advertising, media purchasing, and promotional activities targeted to segment.
Forecast and proactively manage reputational risk. Support CWB\xe2\x80\x99s ongoing compliance with all risk, regulatory, privacy, CDIC and Bank Act requirements as it relates to assigned products, services and marketing activities.
Prepare reports for management, as required.
People Leadership
Cultivate a high-performance, supportive team culture based on a foundation of integrity, accountability, respect, common sense and caring.
Empower and delegate to marketing specialists to create a rewarding experience for junior marketing talent to succeed and grow.
Drive effective and inclusive talent acquisition practices, coaching, performance management, coaching, development, engagement and succession planning practices.
Act as role model for effective collaboration and stakeholder management with aim to build a positive reputation for the marketing and communications function within the CWB Financial Group amongst banking centres, departments and external vendors.

Who we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for & what you\xe2\x80\x99ve done
Education
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing or Commerce.
Google Analytics certification considered an asset.
Google Certified AdWords Specialist considered an asset.
Professional Experience
A minimum of 5 to 8 years of demonstrated experience in marketing and advertising or related discipline in an agency or corporate marketing environment, preferably in the financial services industry.
Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads and Facebook Ad Manager considered an asset.
Frequent or daily experience working with a CMS, preferably Sitecore, considered an asset.
Frequent or daily experience working with SEO tools, preferably Siteimprove, considered an asset.
Experience with Digital Marketing Automation and Email Marketing tools, preferably Campaign Monitor, Sitecore Send or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, considered an asset.
Proficient understanding of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) considered an asset.
Membership in a professional organization for marketers, such as the Canadian Marketing Association or a local advertising association, considered an asset.

Strong marketing, communications and business knowledge.
Demonstrated knowledge of how to develop and execute complex, integrated marketing campaigns.
Ability to take initiative and accept accountability.
Skilled problem solving and decision-making ability.
Strong written and verbal communication, administrative, organizational, data and insight development , interpersonal and presentation skills.

Strong understanding of banking preferred.
