ABOUT THE ROLE
The Marketing Manager is a key member of our marketing and commercial team, responsible for leading campaign planning, digital execution, and brand activation across our portfolio of Atlantic Canadian beverage brands (NS Spirit Co., Annapolis Cider Co., and Cape Breton Beverages).
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role oversees day-to-day marketing operations and execution, translating strategic direction into integrated campaigns, creative content and exceptional consumer experiences.
This is a hands-on, fast moving position ideal for a strong communicator and planner who can balance creativity with organization and thrives in an entrepreneurial, growing business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Integrated Campaign & Content Planning
Lead integrated marketing campaigns from planning through execution and reporting, ensuring every consumer touchpoint delivers impact.
Establish and maintain foundational planning tools such as shared campaign calendars, asset trackers, and project workflows.
Develop and maintain a 3-month rolling content and campaign calendar across all
Brands.
Develop processes for measuring campaign and sponsorship performance to support data-driven decision making.
Oversee social media strategy and execution across paid, earned, and owned channels.
Coordinate with trade and sales team to align consumer and in-store efforts.
Develop and manage dashboards for key marketing KPIs, analyzing performance to drive continuous improvement and budget efficiency.
Brand & Creative Management
Manage the Graphic Designer to ensure all creative assets are on brand, consistent, and support key marketing priorities and objectives.
Oversee packaging updates, promotional material development and retail point-of-sale assets in collaboration with the CMO and creative team.
Experience or working knowledge of design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar) considered an asset to support creative development when needed.
Shape and champion each brand's voice, tone, storytelling across all channels to build emotional connection and long-term loyalty.
Manage relationships with external agencies, photographers, and media partners to delivery high-quality creative and ensure on-time execution.
Events & Experiential Marketing
Partner with the Event & Experience Coordinator to evaluate sponsorship requests and event opportunities based on ROI, audience fit, and brand alignment.
Direct and support the Event & Experience Coordinator in planning and executing brand activations, tastings and sponsorships.
Ensure events and experiences are integrated into broader marketing calendar and supported through digital and PR channels.
Review event performance and consumer feedback to improve future activations.
Digital & Channel Marketing
Oversee website updates, email marketing and influencer or partnership activity.
Ensure digital content aligns with brand positioning and supports customer engagement.
Track performance metrics to inform ongoing campaign optimization.
Promotional Product & Merch Management
Support ordering, tracking and inventory management of branded merchandise and promotional materials across all brands.
Ensure product and merch usage aligns with campaign priorities and budget expectations.
Workflow & Leadership
Collaborate with Sales and CMO on portfolio management, product launches, pricing strategy and go-to-market planning to ensure commercial alignment.
Work cross-functionally with sales, operations and leadership to support business objectives.
Support the professional development of the Graphic Design and Event & Experience Coordinator.
Manage interns or contractors as needed to support seasonal campaigns or product launches.
Work within the overall marketing budget established by the CMO ensuring campaign, event and promotional spending aligns with approved plans and provides measurable return on investment.
QUALIFICATIONS
6-8 years of progressive marketing experience, ideally in beverage, CPG, or lifestyle brands.
Demonstrated success in campaign management, social media, and brand activation.
Experience managing creative and event resources.
Strong project management and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (Meta, Mailchimp/Klaviyo, Google, etc.).
Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Office 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Forms).
Experience with or understanding of graphic design principles and tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) is an asset.
Comfortable analyzing data and using insights to guide marketing investment and sponsorship decisions.
