About Collingwood Pride



Collingwood Pride is a growing festival hosted by The Rainbow Club of south Georgian Bay, dedicated to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ community members, allies, and visitors. The festival highlights queer art, culture, and performance while strengthening community connections and visibility.

Collingwood PRIDE invites qualified marketing professionals or agencies to submit proposals for the role of Marketing Manager for the 2026 festival season. This contract position will lead all marketing, communications, and digital engagement activities leading up to and during PRIDE 2026.

The selected contractor will develop and execute a cohesive marketing and media strategy that amplifies Collingwood PRIDE's visibility, strengthens community engagement, celebrates 2SLGBTQ+ voices, and delivers measurable impact across digital and traditional channels.

Scope of Work



The Marketing Manager will lead all marketing, communications, and digital engagement activities leading up to and during PRIDE 2026.

1. Social Media Management & Strategy



Content Strategy & Planning



Develop a seasonal content strategy aligned with PRIDE 2026 themes, key 2SLGBTQ+ awareness days, and community events.

Create and manage a detailed content calendar (in collaboration with RBC and the events team).

Maintain cohesive, on-brand social channels with polished visuals and consistent messaging.

RTO7 Grant management

Engagement & Community Building



Engage actively with followers, sponsors, performers, and community partners through comments, DMs, reposts, and shout-outs.

Develop partnerships, collaborations, and giveaways with local businesses and organizations.

Content Creation



Design graphics for campaigns, announcements, and event promotions.

Repurpose event photos and videos into social content (reels, stories, evergreen posts).

Capture and edit content during live events and activations.

Campaigns & Influencer Collaboration

Execute pre-PRIDE marketing campaigns in partnership with The Rainbow Club.

Manage influencer collaborations (outreach, scheduling, tracking).

Use targeted promotions to increase event attendance and engagement.

2. Media Management & Outreach



Press & Publicity



Build and maintain a local/regional media connections

Build a Media Strategy to expand reach

Write and distribute press releases

Provide media with graphics, assets, and event information to maximize coverage.

Media Sponsors

Manage relationships with media sponsors and interview outlets.

Provide digital assets and promotional materials for sponsor visibility.

3. Print Design & Distribution



Design and oversee production of print materials, including:

Festival and town signage

Posters, postcards, and campaign materials

Sponsor recognition signage

Sponsorship event material

Coordinate with the events team for printing, distribution, and post-event retrieval.

4. Website Maintenance



Review PRIDE website SEO

Page creation and editing

Keep sponsorship pages up-to-date

Update festival event pages

Event Calendar Management

5. Festival Day Management



Manage live social media coverage throughout Pride weekend.

Highlight sponsors, performances, and community moments in real time.

Capture and share engaging stories and reels featuring: Parade highlights, Family Zone activities, Live performances and sponsor activations, community celebrations, etc.

6. Post-Pride Impact Report



Post event report summarizing reach, engagement, and community impact (completed within one-week post-event).

7. Virtual Team Meeting



Monthly meeting with Pride Team (April, May)

Weekly Meetings (June-July11)

Qualifications



Proven experience in digital marketing, social media strategy, and content creation.

Strong familiarity with 2SLGBTQ+ community values and inclusive communications.

Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).

Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with teams/contractors and under tight timelines.

Proposal Submission Requirements



Proposals should include:

Cover Letter - Introduction and understanding of the scope.

Relevant Experience - Examples of similar projects or campaigns.

Proposed Approach & Timeline - How you will meet deliverables between April-August and expand the reach of PRIDE Collingwood

Budget Proposal - Fixed fee or hourly rate structure (inclusive of taxes).

References - At least two professional references.

Portfolio - Links or attachments of past work (social media accounts, campaigns, or design samples).

Evaluation Criteria



Proposals will be evaluated based on:

Demonstrated experience and creativity (30%)

Alignment with 2SLGBTQ+ values and community engagement (25%)

Quality and feasibility of proposed strategy (25%)

Budget and value for money (20%)
