As a Marketing Manager on the Insurance Marketing team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for developing and managing integrated, life insurance advisor marketing campaigns, as well as a wide variety of marketing activities, including lead generation, market analysis, vendor relationships, media management, and program development.

Responsibilities:

Program Deployment & Delivery

  • Develop and deploy marketing campaigns to acquire new advisors, and meet specified targets for new advisor acquisition
  • Track innovative marketing approaches and competitive positioning and continually push the envelope to ensure Manulife employs and leverages all opportunities (positioning, spend, communication vehicles etc.) to ensure we communicate in the most compelling way to achieve our objectives
  • Serve as a strategic expert and lead on initiatives that not only drive sales growth for the insurance business but also improve advisor perception results
  • Build strategic campaigns and measure performance across a portfolio of earned and paid channels while pivoting as required to meet evolving business and industry landscape
  • Work with data to analyze needs of advisor prospects, business and effectively translate analytics into clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently from ideation through execution, while reporting on key milestones to internal and external stakeholders
Performance Marketing:
  • Establish channel forecasts and budget recommendations, with the speed and ownership to adjust tactics and strategies quickly based on learnings and opportunities
  • Lead campaign launches, optimization, and reporting inclusive of creative, campaign setup, audience targeting, and budget management.
Relationship management:
  • Work closely with internal partners (Retail Distribution, Data Analytics, Legal, Compliance, Digital Marketing Teams, Creative Services) and external partners (Creative and Media agencies) on national marketing and advertising campaigns, including creative development, execution and measurement
  • Build and maintain effective, productive, and collaborative relationships with internal and external partners. Influence these partners and leverage their assets to best meet mutual objectives
  • Manage day-to-day working relationships with internal and external partners and act as marketing and communications subject matter expert as it relates to customer acquisition marketing
  • Influence without authority, ability to motivate and manage a cross functional, blended team of specialists
  • Communicate key insights and relevant facts effectively to different audiences, including crafting comprehensive and compelling narratives and proposals with a keen eye for strategic positioning.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Marketing, Digital and Business Management experience
  • Financial services industry experience is an asset
Competencies:
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills while working in a face-paced environment with changing priorities
  • You can easily build relationships and have been part of large, cross functional teams that are working to solve complex problems
  • Proven track record for coaching high-performing teams
  • Experienced practitioner of Agile Marketing
  • Ability to generate meaningful business and customer insights from a variety of dashboards
  • You think big, are willing to disrupt yourself and the status quo and are customer obsessed with an entrepreneurial mindset to drive change
  • You are comfortable owning revenue targets and managing budgets

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location Waterloo, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between $77,250.00 CAD - $139,050.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
