Our Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Specialist who is equal parts creative and analytical to bring our marketing strategy to life. With more than 5 million K-12 students currently using Xello to chart a path to their successful future, we?re seeking a results-driven individual who can turn marketing strategies into innovative campaign ideas and effective tactics like emails, digital ads, webinars, and conferences. What you?ll do?
  • 75%: Campaign Management
    • Support the Marketing team?s strategic plan by executing campaigns, managing workback schedules so that deadlines are met, briefing creative production, advising on revisions, and obtaining approvals
    • Create, proofread, and deploy email marketing campaigns, leveraging our marketing automation tool, and ensure email best practices are adhered to
    • Produce monthly client and prospect newsletters
    • Act on quarterly awareness, adoption, and/or upsell/cross-sell opportunities
  • 15% (~1 hour a day): Reporting and Analysis
    • Assist with reporting and analysis of campaign performance and develop post-campaign retrospective presentations for the Marketing department
    • Onboarding drip optimization
    • Complete a newsletter half-year review
    • Quarterly campaign retro
    • Collate monthly webinar engagement report
  • 5%: (~2 hours a week): Enablement and Administration
    • Review internal resources to ensure marketing information is up to date and accurate on all corporate communications operational platforms (e.g. Highspot, Outreach)
    • Work with Marketing Ops to ensure we?re implementing email marketing best practices in our processes and workflows
  • 5%: Other duties, like
    • National conference sponsorship support
    • Territory-specific custom communications and events
    • Training promotions

What we?re looking for?
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma with a specialization in Communications, Business, or Marketing (Advertising/Public Relations)
  • 2+ years of experience working in a marketing, communications, or business environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting and writing for the web
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with superior time-management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and partners, like an email calendar?s deadlines
  • Excellent listening, analytical, and problem solving skills and the ability to take information and data and translate them into insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with marketing automation tools (Salesforce, Pardot/Marketo/HubSpot, Customer.io, Outreach.io, or equivalent) and a working knowledge of Google Suite (docs, sheets, slides)
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team in a remote-first environment, particularly for project collaboration
  • Creative and innovative thinker who is constantly looking for efficiencies and is comfortable sharing their ideas


Nice to have...

  • Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS)
  • Experience working in SaaS or education technology industry
  • Event management and/or promotion experience
  • Marketing analytics or operations experience, presentation decks/slide production
  • Computer skills: HTML coding, video editing (e.g. Quicktime, Adobe Creative), website/landing page production (e.g. WordPress)
