2-year diploma in the areas of Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, and/or Journalism or an equivalent combination of qualifications acceptable by the employer.
Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations.
Excellent written and oral skills.
Ability to multi-task and lead projects.
Ability to work with internal clients and various internal/external stakeholders.
Issues management experience: the ability to analyze complex issues and identify communication solutions, under tight deadlines, and under pressure.
Impeccable proofreading and editing skills, and writing experience in various formats including media releases, speech writing, ad copy, editorial, and writing for the web.
Well-versed in popular social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
A equivalent combination of education, experience, and knowledge acceptable to the College may also be considered. Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Alberta\'s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) legislation; formal FOIP training an added bonus.
Accreditation with the Canadian Public Relations Society or the International Association of Business Communicators.
Department Marketing & Communications
Keyano College Marketing & Communications department is looking for a Marketing Coordinator. As part of the Keyano College Marketing group, the incumbent will provide marketing and communication services to the College. This position will develop and execute marketing and communication strategies in collaboration with the department representatives as well as the guidance and support of the Communications Manager and/or Director, Marketing & Communications, to promote programs and services with our clients.
The Marketing Coordinator\'s scope of responsibility includes facilitating collateral material development, advertising, media relations, promotion and branding, special events, tradeshows, and photography services. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
meeting with each client to discuss annual projects and initiatives with the goal of creating a marketing strategy for each
taking a lead role in the scheduling and production of the content for our internal display screens throughout the College
copywriting and editing for internal clients
maintaining portions of the website
working with the creative services team to produce a broad range of marketing materials
coordinating the production of publications/academic calendars/annual reports
scheduling photo shoots with various internal clients and talent
assist with coordination of annual College events
Advertised Salary CUPE TS8-1 $74,058.15 per annum and includes a comprehensive health and benefit package. This position qualifies for the Northern Living Allowance of $1,040.00 per month. This allowance is reviewed annually and is subject to budget approval.
