INKspire is a non-profit organization that strives to empower youth voices by providing a curated web platform where young people can share their ideas and perspectives on various relevant and contemporary issues across Canada and around the world.



INKspire is looking for a motivated, results-driven individual to join our marketing team. As Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for contributing to the organization's marketing and communications strategies as well as overall branding and image. The ideal candidate must possess strong skills as well as be a creative and strategic thinker.

Roles / Responsibilities

  • Work with the marketing team to create and execute promotional campaigns with the goal of fostering positive internal / external engagement for INKspire
  • Support day-to-day social media marketing activities based on monthly promotional calendar, ensuring our social media platforms are engaging, compelling, and on-brand
  • Supervise comments and inquiries on INKspire's social channels and provide community members with information regarding upcoming programs as appropriate
  • Utilize social media analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to pull, analyze and summarize marketing and engagement data to evaluate performance and inform future campaigns
  • Produce content for marketing communication such as organizational brochures, e-newsletters and blog posts
  • Support the planning and implementation of special projects in partnership with cross-functional teams (e.g. fundraising, publishing & editing teams)
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of fundamental marketing principles and techniques
  • Experience with digital marketing and analytical tools
  • Possess creative, strategic and analytical problem solving skills
  • Highly effective interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Strong collaborative, organizational and time management skills
  • Interested in consumer behaviour and working with a variety of different people
  • Passionate about youth leadership and empowerment
  • Worked or volunteered in a non-profit setting (asset)
Time Commitment
  • Flexible hours, approx. 4-6 hours/week
  • Volunteer must be able to commit to the position for a minimum of 6 months
  • Available in the evening at least once a week for team meetings
