About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated, big picture-minded marketing and communications (MARCOM) expert to present a holistic view of all L3Harris capabilities, to the rapidly-expanding Australian defence industry. Through close engagement with individual business units, the Marketing Communications Lead will create a one-voice approach to market, supporting the growth and positioning of L3Harris as a defence prime and long-term partner of choice. Additionally, but of no less importance, the MARCOM Lead will plan and execute internal communications strategies to ensure our high performance culture is fostered and continuously built upon, as we pursue future growth and development opportunities. Through establishing and maintaining relationships with media, industry partners, influential third parties and other relevant stakeholders, the MARCOM Lead will garner favourable views of the company across the region, firmly establishing our reputation as a truly innovative but trusted disruptor.
The primary remit of this role is the development of strategic marketing and communications campaigns for L3Harris nationally. Liaising with multiple stakeholder groups, our globally matrixed organization you will work to understand business objectives and priorities, develop fit-for-purpose communications strategies and produce effective content to support the desired outcomes. Your day-to-day may involve creating press releases, key messages/Q&A documents, planning social media campaigns, delivering business presentations, attending trade shows and exploring sponsorship/ partnership opportunities. Constant tracking and reporting will be required to gauge strategy effectiveness as well as identifying any opportunities for refinement or improvement.
