About Crabbe Mountain



Crabbe Mountain is home to the largest vertical descent in New Brunswick and offers premier skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, and event experiences. We are looking to grow as a four-season destination with Mountain Biking expansion planned for the near future. Crabbe is positioned as a cornerstone of outdoor recreation and rural tourism in the province. Crabbe Mountain is entering an exciting chapter of growth and innovation.

Job Overview



The Marketing, Communications & Events Lead is responsible for leading all marketing, communications, and event initiatives for Crabbe Mountain. This role acts as the primary brand ambassador and ensures consistent, timely, and effective communication across all platforms. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Skills, Abilities & Qualifications



Core Skills



1. Marketing Strategy & Planning



We are looking for someone with the ability to develop a comprehensive marketing plan aligned with organizational goals, with knowledge of brand positioning, target audience segmentation, and campaign planning and a strong understanding of digital marketing, content strategy, and performance metrics.

2. Communication Skills



The successful candidate will possess exceptional written and verbal communication, the ability to craft clear, compelling messaging for different audiences, and will demonstrate skills in copywriting, storytelling, and content creation.

3. Digital & Social Media Expertise



The position requires proficiency across major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, etc.), the ability to run, optimize, and analyze digital campaigns and skills in social listening, community engagement, and analytics review.

4. Content Creation



Strong abilities in photography, videography, editing, and visual storytelling. Experience producing newsletters, blogs, updates, and multimedia content will be an asset.

5. Project & Event Management



Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute events. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.

6. Analytical & Technical Skills



Data interpretation, trend forecasting, and campaign performance evaluation. Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights, etc.). Understanding of SEO, SEM, and email marketing platforms.

Personal Abilities & Attributes



Creative, innovative thinker with strong problem-solving skills. High level of initiative and ability to work independently. Leadership and team-oriented mindset. Personable, approachable, and confident when interacting with guests, partners, media Ability to ski or snowboard for content.

Qualifications



Required



Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, media, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in marketing, communications, or related roles. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong attention to detail. High sense of urgency and accountability. Experience managing social media platforms and digital campaigns. Strong writing, editing, and communication background. Experience coordinating or managing events.

Assets / Preferred



Experience with design software (Adobe,Creative Suite -- Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign canva). Photography or videography experience Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, custom systems, etc.). Knowledge of skiing/snowboarding or mountain recreation industries. Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability (if relevant to the employer). Familiarity with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, or project management tools.

Working Conditions



Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed. Comfortable working outdoors or in varied weather conditions.
