Position Overview



Marketing Associates are assigned a focus and are responsible for maintaining it independently, then have general marketing responsibilities that are maintained collaboratively with the marketing team.

With a focus on digital marketing, this Marketing Associate is responsible for developing and maintaining the casino's digital image including, but not limited to, social media, website, and email marketing. They create digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic and generate leads, build brand awareness, enhance the casino's image, and promote products and services. They create, post and update content, monitor and handle social interactions, and perform any other work to bolster the casino's digital footprint.

Focus Duties and Responsibilities



Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy to grow the online presence and reputation Research, plan, budget and implement digital advertising campaigns Maintain brand consistency through all digital channels Manage and maintain company social media accounts Plan, create, and schedule social media content (photos, videos, and graphics) Create graphics through the use of Adobe for promotions, social media, menus, etc Manage and maintain company website Research, plan, carry out and monitor the performance of email marketing campaigns Track and report on digital marketing performance on all digital channels Manage and grow search engine performance Research and implement search engine optimization and marketing practices Research and act on social media trends, including new platforms and media opportunities Conduct Competitive Analysis reviews for casino departments

Marketing Duties and Responsibilities



Possess expert knowledge of the Totem Rewards Membership and benefits Possess expert knowledge of slot promotions, F&B promotions, and upcoming events Promote positive customer experiences by providing prompt and courteous services Assist in answering customer inquiries via email, calls, or on social media Participate in creative meetings and brainstorm new ideas to acquire traffic Be an active member of the Grey Rock Gives Back committee Plan, organize, and attend casino promotional events Attend trade shows in an effort to acquire new traffic and create brand awareness Conduct market research to identify new opportunities Keep organized records of contracts, documents, and other files in the shared drive Prepare regular metric reports and analyze data Assist with internal communications and train employees on casino promotions Decorate the casino floor based on holiday or season Ensure marketing posters on the casino floor are up to date and strategically placed Creatively contribute to the team environment and culture Adhere to NBLGC policies and procedures Adhere to Grey Rock Entertainment Centre internal controls, policies, and procedures Other duties as reasonable and assigned

Working Conditions



May be required to stand, sit or bend for extended periods of time Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance Must be available to work a rotating shift support the Casino hours of operations (holidays and weekend included) Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience & Qualifications Required



Must be 19 years or over Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business Management, Commerce or an equivalent combination of education and experience Previous experience working with agencies Previous experience in digital marketing such as email marketing, display, affiliate and web Previous experience in sponsored ads and other forms of paid digital campaigns Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends, SEMRush, etc.) Working knowledge of ad serving tools Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints A good head for business development Strong organizational, numerical, team-working and creative skill The ability to delegate, influence and motivate others The energy and enthusiasm to deal with campaigns The ability to work to deadlines and cope with the consequent pressure Expert level Fluency in ENGLISH and FRENCH (written and spoken) Ability to work effectively with large number of clients and providers Adobe suite of products (INDESIGN, PHOTOSHOP, ILLUSTRATOR)
