Beam Radiology is a fast-growing diagnostic imaging practice with multiple clinics across southern Alberta. We pride ourselves on clinical excellence, subspecialty-trained radiologists, and a strong focus on building relationships with referring physicians and clinics. We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Associate to support our Manager of Business Development in driving outreach, engagement, and growth initiatives.
About the Role
The Marketing Associate will function as a key extension of the Business Development team, combining the relationship-building mindset of a medical or pharmaceutical sales representative with the organizational support needed to keep marketing initiatives running smoothly. Working primarily with clinics and partners across Calgary -- with additional outreach to surrounding communities and the Canmore/Bow Valley region -- this role serves as a key point of contact for our referrers, helping strengthen relationships, promote Beam's services, coordinate outreach and events, and support strategic growth across the territory.
Primary Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with clinics, physicians, and referral partners -- act as a friendly, professional point of contact for outreach and engagement.
Coordinate and execute outreach initiatives (such as Lunch & Learn sessions) to educate clinics/referrers about our services and engage them proactively.
Prepare and deliver presentations (or presentation materials) to clinics or physician groups, sharing relevant service offerings, programs, and referral processes.
Maintain and manage marketing materials, resources, and documentation -- ensure brochures, requisitions, presentations, and other resources are organized, accessible, and readily deployable.
Oversee logistics and coordination for outreach events, clinic visits, and deliveries including material distribution, swag or promotional item drop-offs, and follow-up communications.
Track and log all outreach and marketing activities: clinic contacts, attendance, outcomes, follow-ups, and follow-through to maintain a robust database of relationships and referral sources.
Collaborate internally -- liaise with clinical, administrative, and operations teams to stay current on services, programs, and referral workflows; communicate updates to referrers; help gather feedback from clinics.
Assist with general marketing and business development tasks, including scheduling, event support, supply management, print orders, and administrative duties -- enabling the Manager of Business Development to focus on strategic relationships and growth.
Provide event support, including preparing event materials, coordinating logistics, assisting with setup/tear-down, supporting registration or hosting needs, and ensuring smooth execution.
Participate in evening and occasional weekend events (e.g., hosted education sessions, conferences, community events, or partner-related functions) as required to support outreach and relationship-building.
Provide ongoing support to ensure all outreach and marketing efforts comply with internal policies, professional standards, and regulatory guidelines (especially when dealing with physician and clinic relations).
Territory Coverage
Manage and support marketing and outreach activities primarily within Calgary, including regular clinic visits, Lunch & Learns, and drop-offs.
Provide periodic outreach to surrounding areas (e.g., Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, Okotoks, and other nearby communities) based on business needs.
Maintain an organized territory plan that aligns with Beam's referral priorities and outreach strategy.
Conduct travel within the territory to ensure clinics remain supported, supplied, and informed of Beam's programs and updates.
Represent Beam professionally while engaging with physicians, clinic managers, and staff throughout the region.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree -- ideally in Marketing, Communications, Business, Health Administration, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in a role involving client relations, outreach, sales support, or marketing (healthcare experience or familiarity with medical settings is a strong asset).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with physicians, clinic staff, and internal teams.
Strong presentation and organizational skills and able to prepare clean, compelling materials and coordinate logistics smoothly.
Good time management, self-motivation, and ability to manage multiple projects and outreach relationships concurrently.
Familiarity with standard office software (Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets), and comfort using databases or CRM-style tracking tools.
Ability to travel between clinics, deliver materials, and conduct outreach -- valid driver's license and reliable vehicle preferred.
Professional demeanor and ethical approach to relationship-building and marketing in a healthcare context.
Adaptability, initiative, and a collaborative mindset -- able to work independently but also coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
A "people person": someone who enjoys building relationships, engaging with clinic staff and physicians, and representing Beam Radiology in a friendly yet professional manner.
Proactive and self-starting: someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do -- anticipates needs (events, supplies, outreach), follows up, and keeps things organized.
Detail oriented: ensures accuracy in communications, logistics, and tracking, and pays attention to follow-through with clinics.
Balanced marketer & coordinator: able both to "sell" -- i.e., communicate value of Beam's services -- and to manage backend logistics (materials, scheduling, ordering, record-keeping).
Comfortable with a fluid, clinic-outreach schedule: flexible, adaptable, and ready to support a variety of tasks (some administrative, some outreach, some event-driven).
What We Offer
Competitive Compensation: We offer a highly competitive salary, tailored to your experience.
Comprehensive Benefits: Enjoy a full benefits package (health, dental, and an RRSP program).
Professional Growth: Access opportunities for continuing education and other incentives to support your ongoing development.

Local Travel: The ability to travel within Calgary and the surrounding area for clinic visits is required.
