This is an exciting new role for a

Marketing and Product Development Assistant

. You'll support the Marketing and Product Development Manager by ensuring every project is executed flawlessly and on time. Your meticulous attention to detail and proactive nature will provide a steady hand, ensuring projects stay on track so the team can focus on innovation. This role is perfect for someone who finds satisfaction in creating order within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This is an in-person position, allowing you to connect directly with our products and your teammates at our modern greenhouse and office facility in Abbotsford, BC.

Responsibilities



Your key responsibilities will include:

Manage Project Flow:

You'll be the project hub, managing the daily flow of marketing and product development tasks--from coordinating crop photos and samples to tracking the status of sell sheets and securing material approvals from key stakeholders.

Craft Compelling Content:

Assist with crafting compelling copy and designs for customer-specific marketing materials, including plant tags and presentations. Collaborate with our marketing team on social media posts when needed.

Organize Our World:

Maintain the plant tag database, manage digital assets like plant and product images, and ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.

Support and Collaborate:

Provide essential hands-on support to the print shop during our busy spring season and work closely with the team on product development research and concept creation.

Experience



Experience:

You have at least

3 years of continuous professional experience

in a similar role.

A Natural Organizer:

You have a proven ability to manage complex tasks, data, and records with meticulous attention to detail.

Self-Starter:

You're a proactive go-getter who takes initiative and manages tasks independently.

A Team Player:

You thrive in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively to align with internal teams.

A Creative Mind:

You have a strong aptitude for design and copywriting, with a solid understanding of software like

Adobe Creative Suite

(primarily Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign) and

Canva

Eager to Learn:

You're excited to dive deep into our products and stay on top of market trends.

A Desire to be an Anchor:

You find satisfaction in providing long-term ownership of projects and processes, providing stability and consistency for the team.

Local:

You live in the Fraser Valley (preferably Abbotsford or Mission) or are willing to relocate.

Bonus points if you have



Horticulture experience. Experience with photography or video using mobile and/or DSLR cameras. Familiarity with production print equipment and operations. Real-world, on-the-job training in a related role that will help you hit the ground running.

Location and Salary



Location:

This is an in-person position at 34819 Harris Road, Abbotsford, BC V3G 1R3.

Commuting:

Reliable personal transportation is required, as public transit is not available.

Hours:

This is a full-time, salaried position. Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional Saturdays required during our peak season.

Compensation:

The salary range is

$55,000 - $70,000

, based on experience and qualifications. Basic skill testing for the software and tools listed above will be part of the interview process.
